Katia Galina

Education and Career Development Counselor

Certified Global Career Development Facilitator (NBCC)

My involvement in education and career counseling began with a deep belief that life choices should not be made out of fear or pressure, but with knowledge, self-awareness, and trust in oneself. I support adolescents, parents, and adults at pivotal moments of decision-making, aiming not simply for the “right” choice, but for the choice that holds meaning and sustainability for the individual.

My professional journey in education and career counseling spans more than 30 years and has been shaped through continuous engagement with educational realities and evolving needs. I have worked in both public and private schools, and for 15 years I collaborated with educational institutions and committees that played a key role in shaping educational policy in Greece and linking it to the international labor market.

Throughout this journey, I participated in working groups focused on expanding and strengthening School Career Guidance in Secondary Education, as well as in the design and implementation of the “New School” initiative, with a consistent focus on students’ needs and the challenges of contemporary society.

In parallel, I have worked as a consultant in European programs addressing women’s employment, student and workforce mobility within the European Union, the promotion of digital skills, research, and educational planning.

I am registered in the National Registry of Trainers for Continuing Vocational Training and have been trained in educational policy issues across EU member states, with particular emphasis on linking vocational training to employment and the real needs of the labor market.

I am a graduate of the Department of Education at the University of Ioannina and hold a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. I have an extensive body of written work on education and training and have participated in international scientific conferences and seminars.

At the core of my professional stance lies the conviction that every individual—adolescent or adult—deserves to feel safe, understood, and confident when making decisions that affect their life and future.
